LFW AW10/11 Report - Day 2 - Belle Sauvage

Belle Sauvage's over booked show started half an hour later than expected with people queuing outside and inside Victoria House for more than an hour. But it was definitely worth the wait!

Belle Sauvage, the label of design duo Virginia Ferreira and Christian Neuman,  treated us with a very special show. A dominant trend during London Fashion Week A/W2010 is the contrast of tough meets soft.  This was most dynamic at Belle Sauvage's collection where models looking like Avatar warrior princesses were on chunky leather super sized shoes and wore digitally printed short dresses. Accompanied by an industrial soundtrack they walked slowly and mechanically like robots do.

The collection presented soft silk chiffon, crepe and jersey pieces contrasted with structured leather details. Fox&Squirrel loved the dresses with the defined shoulders and the emphasis made on the waist. An additional twist were the leather back details 'hugging' the shoulder-blades of the models.
